Beach

During the summer of 2005, I traveled by airplane, bus, automobile, ferry, and tow truck!!!! When I wasn't doing that, I walked the beach.

I had to drive about a mile to get to a place that I could access the beach on the west side of Whidbey Island. From where I parked my car you could see Mt. Baker. Look real close!

This is the beach looking north towards the San Juan Islands.

This is the beach looking south towards the Olympic Peninsula.

I would take off my shoes and walk for a long time. This picture was taken by a lady who had 2 beautiful golden retrievers. One of them came up to me and shook. Needless to say, I got very wet.
These are the dogs.

When I was driving to my house, I saw the lady and dogs. They live on my street!

This is a big rock on the beach and a small wave. The picture is looking west towards Victoria.

I met some people from Idaho. I took their picture and they took mine. In the background is the Olympic Peninsula. BTW, I had on my gardening clothes. Taking a walk on the beach was usually a last minute thought. It was usually cool enough to require a sweatshirt.
